Since so many people inquire about B&Bs in Kinsale, we have created this special page. It is only a sampling of the dozens that are available, but at least you will have a head start. The places featured below offer all rooms with private bath/shower ("en suite") unless otherwise noted. Here are some of my favorites.

It sits less than a block from the marina, in a quiet street around the corner from Acton's Hotel or O'Connell Street. A convenient 3-minute walk from the town centre off the main Cork Road, this modern non-smoking B&B home sits on a quiet hillside street, with its back rooms looking out toward the harbour. For a serene and secluded setting overlooking Kinsale Harbour and Charles Fort, this modern farmhouse is ideal. Surrounded by a working dairy farm, it is located less than 2 miles from town, signposted off the Cork Road (Rte. 600), and set on a grassy hillside.   Hosts Nigel and Siobhan Sweetnam offer 4 non-smoking rooms (3 double/twins and 1 triple), each with coffee/tea-maker and TV. Hill Top B&B, Sleaveen Heights, Kinsale, Co. Cork; tel. 021-477-2612. Set on a hill above the town (3-minute walk) on a quiet street off the main Cork road, this large and modern ranch-style B&B home overlooks the harbour and offers ample parking. Hosts Mr. & Mrs. Michael McCarthy do their best to show off the panoramic views especially in the conservatory lounge and the 6 guest rooms. Closed: November - February. If you are looking for a secluded and scenic spot, it is hard to match this non-smoking B&B home, set on 3 acres of woodlands, high in the hills overlooking Kinsale, less than a mile from the town centre via a twisting and narrow road. Hosts John and Eleanor Bateman offer 6 modern guest rooms, each with TV and coffee/tea-maker; and some rooms have balconies overlooking the inner harbour. Cork; tel. and fax 021-477-4196; email: info@waterside.ie.   Perched on a hillside at the western end of Kinsale near the Duggan Bridge to Old Head, this modern B&B home enjoys the best of both worlds – views of the inner harbour of Kinsale and a quiet residential location within a half-mile walk into town via sidewalk.   A steep driveway leads to the house which is nestled amid extensive gardens and lots of car parking space.   Hosts Phyllis and PJ Crowe offer 4 non-smoking rooms, each with water views, country pine furnishings, TV and coffee/tea-maker. Guests also enjoy use of a homey pastel-toned lounge overlooking the harbour.   Closed: December – January. €
