Without a doubt, Killarney has more B&Bs per square mile than most other Irish towns. Some streets are veritable "B&B rows." With so many choices, you may need a head-start to make your pick. The places featured below offer all rooms with private bath/shower (en suite) unless otherwise noted. Here are some of my favorites:

Situated on the right side of the road about 2 miles north of Killarney, this modern two-story B&B is surrounded by lovely gardens and scenic views. Sitting on the main N 72 road leading to the Ring of Kerry, this new two-story purpose-built house is less than 3 miles west of Killarney town and across the street from the Killarney Golf Club which makes it equally convenient for golfers or sightseers. It is also next to a pub/restaurant if you prefer not to drive at night. Hostess Margaret Moriarty offers 4 non-smoking guestrooms, each with TV and modern amenities. Situated off the Cork Road within walking distance of the town, this B&B home provides ample guest parking outside the front door. Surrounded by colorful rose gardens, this modern purpose-built B&B has a striking brick façade, on the main road 2 miles north of Killarney town. Hostess Sheila Falvey offers 4 non-smoking guest rooms, each with TV, hairdryer, and coffee/tea-maker. She will also serve dinner, if given advance notice. The home of Mrs. Eileen Casey, this B&B is a modern dormer-style bungalow with just 3 rooms available, including ground floor rooms. Sitting amid 15 acres of gardens and lawns on the left side of the road about 2 miles north of Killarney, this modern two-story Tudor-style B&B offers 6 larger-than-average non-smoking guest rooms, each with TV, hairdryer, and coffee/tea-maker; and some with king-size beds. Several of our web site visitors have given high marks to this award-winning traditional B&B home, tucked on a quiet residential street. It is on the north edge of town, between Rock Rd. and Port Rd., about an 8-minute walk from the centre. Hostess Triona Neilon, who enjoys plotting local itineraries for guests, offers 4 non-smoking guestrooms. Guests enjoy use of a reading room with TV and coffee/tea-maker. Located on the road leading from town to Ross Castle, this modern bungalow-style house is surrounded by rich foliage and woodlands, with views of the mountains. Hosts Rosaleen and Denis O'Leary offer 4 non-smoking guest rooms (twins, double or triples), each with TV, hairdryer, orthopedic beds, clock/radio, trouser press & tea/coffee-maker.   The grounds include mature gardens, a patio, and a wishing well. Although it is only open for the summer months, this ranch-style B&B home is a popular choice for non-smokers and for those who want to be close to the Gap of Dunloe or the Killarney Golf Club.
