| Even though many towns in Co. Clare (Ennis, Ballyvaughan, Tulla and Feakle, to name a few) are meccas for Irish traditional music, Doolin has managed to scoop up most of the publicity. Sitting on the main road (R. 478) at the entrance to Doolin, this modern non-smoking B&B home is just over a mile from the heart of town but well positioned on high ground. Located on the north end of Doolin's long (3 mile) main street, this well-established B&B is a convenient place to stay if you are traveling by public transport since the bus stops at the door. Although not everyone favors this ranch-style B&B on the main road (R. 478) between the Cliffs of Moher and Doolin, it is a good place for guests who do not wish to climb stairs. Hostess Cathy Normoyle offers 4 ground floor non-smoking rooms, each with extra comforts such as hairdryer, coffee/tea-maker and electric blankets. The house sits on a hillside, offering views of the landscape and sea below, just over a mile from the heart of the town. Conveniently positioned next to the Aille River bridge, this modern farmhouse B&B sits in its own walled grounds in the heart of Doolin, on a quiet street off the main road. Hosts Pat and Joan O'Connor, who are known for their home-baking, offer 8 rooms including 2 family rooms and 2 triples, each with in-room TV and coffee/tea-maker. Dating back over a century, this handsome 2-story B&B home has been rejuventated and modernized. It sits in the heart of Doolin, next to Cullinan's restaurant, surrounded by ancient trees and walled gardens. Hostess Caitriona Garrahy offers 4 guestrooms - 3 en suite and 1 standard room including a family room.
